His music, described by Ivan Fedele in the Il Giornale as “distorsionismo” has been performed during such events as IRCAM Season, Venice Biennale, Warsaw Autumn, Gaudeamus Musik Week, MATA, Bang on a Can Marathon in New York, Les Espaces Sonores in Basel, Rondò in Milan, Review of Composers in Belgrade, by renowned artists and ensembles as Ensemble Intercontemporain, Klangforum Wien, Musikfabrik, Neue Vocalsolisten, Oslo Sinfonietta, Linea, Nikel, Algoritmo, Divertimento, Meitar, Orkest de ereprijs, Sinfonia Varsovia, Tokyo Philharmonic, Shanghai Philharmonic, Warsaw National Philharmonic, Polish Radio National Orchestra in Katowice (NOSPR).

Marcin is interested by the perception of musical time, space and gesture, as well as the idea of "aftersounds" inspired by the optical phenomenon of "afterimage" explored in the 1940s by the avant-gardist Polish painter W³adys³aw Strzemiński. In his compositions, he often uses theatrical expressions associated with his idea of a "total performance". With Aftersounds, music comes not only from morfological ‘reflections’ of sound, various extraneous noises, resonances and echoes but also some psychological aspects of the listening and seeing, something which is not there yet, but will be in a moment, which precede the sound or has remained afterwards.

He works at the Regional Administrative Court. He teaches in Academy of Music in £ód¼ where in 2016 he received his habilitation degree in Music Theory and Composistion. In 2020, he became a full professor. He is lecturer of Composition, Electroacoustic Composition, Orchestration and Musical Analysis.
